On the 22nd of April, the REIsearch project held its first Steering Committee meeting.
The Steering Committee met in Paris to discuss a range of topics: The governance structure, the initial launch topic, technical progress, special expert groups, launch strategy and media campaign. The overall direction of the project was confirmed and helpful advice and support was offered.
The meeting was jointly chaired by Valéry Giscard d’Estaing and Michelangelo Baracchi Bonvicini, Honorary President and President respectively of Atomium – European Institute for Science, Media and Democracy (EISMD). Committee members in attendance were Mr. Ron Mobed, CEO of Elsevier; Prof. Vladimir Šucha, Director-General of the Joint Research Centre, Nils Torvalds, MEP and Dr. Ulrich Dropmann standing in for Dr. Hossein Moiin, CTO of Nokia Networks.”
