In this digital event hosted by the AI4People Institute, leading stakeholders from academia, business, the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the Council of Europe will convene to discuss the next phase of AI Act implementation. The meeting will also focus also focus on the practical consequences for businesses and the priorities for the European Commission and the AI Office.

Assessing and mitigating AI Risk levels

The event will also serve as an occasion to introduce AI4People. Established by Michelangelo Baracchi Bonvicini, Professor Luciano Floridi, and Robert Madelin, AI4People is a spin-off of the AI4People Institute, previously launched in 2018 with Tony Blair. AI4People supports global businesses and governments in assessing and mitigating their AI risk level.


TOWARDS AN ETHICS BY DESIGN APPROACH FOR AI
The AI4People Institute’s Report

During the event, the AI4People Institute’s Report “Toward An Ethics By Design Approach for AI” will be presented. The report outlines the “Ethics by Design” approach aimed to provide guidance to organizations, public or private, small or large enterprises, in proactively designing, developing, and maintaining Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems in accordance with the laws, ethical, moral principles, and values that underpin the European Union.
